If you’re reading this, there’s a pretty good chance you’re familiar with my latest book, Work It! Get In, Get Noticed, Get Promoted. If you haven’t read it yet, I hope you’ll pick up a copy and read it. And if you’ve already read it, then I hope you enjoyed it! As the dedication says, I wrote it just for you.
Let’s continue the conversation here.
I created this blog for anyone who aspires to find true career success and happiness, but isn’t quite sure of the steps to take. I thought about what I would write on my blog, and I knew that I didn’t want to rehash the same old stuff about how you need to dress, format a resume, and respond to interview questions.
Instead, I reflected on my own long and varied career as a business professional, co-founder of a major company, professional speaker, and author. I’ve learned a lot, occasionally making some goofy (and sometimes painful!) mistakes. And it’s this hard-won insight that I’d like to share with you here—to help you avoid some of the stumbles I made, and to get you where you want to be, faster.
Still looking for that dream job? Don’t have any idea what you really want to do with your life? Having to leave your job (and it wasn’t your idea)? Already love your life but want to make it even better? Ready for a new adventure?
Then you’ve come to the right place.
Through my blog, I’ll share information, news, trends, stories, and tips to help you create the life—both personal and professional—you really want. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned about how to get your foot into today’s world of work (it’s crowded out there!), get noticed (in a good way, of course), and get ahead (whatever that may look like for you).
Join our community and check in regularly. Whether you’re young and just starting out in career-land, not-so-young and considering a career revamp, or simply looking to make some positive changes, I promise the time you spend with me will be well worth it. Maybe even life-changing.
